A day in the life…
- Partner with key stakeholders to define success and develop measurement frameworks.
- Dive deep into complex business problems and provide insights on business vertical performance through hypothesis testing.
- Responsible for delivering a suite of analytical products include analyses, dashboards, insights, and recommendations.

- Experience developing in Looker using LookML, including building Explores, views, derived tables, and dashboard content in a production Looker environment.
- 5+ years of professional experience analyzing data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
- Strong coding skills in at least one statistical or programming language (R or Python preferred) to import, summarize, and analyze data.
- 3+ years of experience extracting & manipulating large data sets from relational databases using SQL (BigQuery preferred; experience with other platforms such as Redshift, Oracle, or Teradata also valued).
- Strong proficiency with advanced BI and visualization tools, including Looker (Looker Core, LookML, Looker Studio Pro), and familiarity with other platforms such as Tableau, Data Studio, or similar.

About the team
The Secrets team is a specialized platform engineering group at Walmart focused on building, operating, and evolving enterprise-grade
secrets management solutions. We design and manage Vault products that securely store and deliver sensitive information—such as
passwords, API keys, and certificates—to applications and services across Walmart’s global technology landscape. Our team collaborates
closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless integration, automation, and compliance, while driving
innovation in how secrets are managed at scale. We are passionate about delivering secure, reliable, and developer-friendly solutions that
empower teams to move faster and safer.
What You’ll Do:
- Understand business problems related to secrets management and propose robust, scalable technological solutions.
- Architect, design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade secrets management platforms (Vault, Akeyless, etc.) at scale, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance.
- Design, develop, and deploy highly available and scalable systems with a focus on cloud-native and Kubernetes-based solutions for secrets lifecycle automation (onboarding, policy management, auditing, monitoring).
- Develop and optimize platform components and automation tools using Golang, Kubernetes APIs, and other cloud-native technologies, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles, with a focus on secure secret delivery and management.
- Deploy and manage secrets management solutions on Azure and other cloud platforms, leveraging Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Drive best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, and operational excellence for seamless deployments and system reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with security, platform, and application teams to define system architecture, integration strategies, and development roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership, making design trade-offs to balance long-term scalability with short-term execution needs.
- Lead incident reviews, root cause analysis, and postmortems for critical platform issues, ensuring learnings are translated into long-term improvements.
- Mentor and guide engineers within the team, fostering technical growth and a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay current with industry trends in secrets management, cloud security, and Kubernetes, and proactively introduce new technologies and approaches where appropriate.
What You’ll bring:
- 10+ years of experience in the design and development of highly scalable, secure platform solutions in product-based companies or R&D divisions.
- Strong computer systems fundamentals, data structures/algorithms, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep programming expertise in Golang (preferred), with additional experience in Java, Python, or similar languages a plus.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes internals, APIs, operator patterns, and cloud-native development.
- Experience architecting and building distributed systems, with a focus on security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Hands-on experience with secrets management platforms (Vault, Akeyless, or equivalents) and a solid understanding of security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, etc.), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Helm), and certificate lifecycle management (cert-manager, Venafi, etc.).
- Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team initiatives, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) and a strong commitment to operational excellence.

Responsible for managing and performing highly skilled technical operations, managing BMS systems, maintenance work, Electrical Distribution, air-conditioning systems, as well as supporting all Maintenance and Project needs within a critical facility data center.
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Facilities Engineer to manage technical operations and maintenance in our enterprise data centers. This role is responsible for managing BMS systems, electrical switchgear, managing air-conditioning and cooling systems, and supporting all critical facility maintenance and project needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, vendor management experience, computer literacy, and a proactive approach to ensuring uptime, efficiency, and compliance.
What you'll do...
- Manage third-party vendor teams (electrical, mechanical, and facilities partners).
- Manage Projects to upgrade critical infrastructure in a live data center.
- Make proactive, data-driven decisions to prevent downtime and ensure reliability.
- Troubleshoot and take corrective action for malfunctions in HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, fans, coils, and other critical equipment.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Inspect and test critical equipment (chillers, compressors, switchgear, UPS, PDU, generators, heat exchangers, auxiliary equipment) to identify and address defects.
- Manage chemical programs for cooling towers, chillers, and other facility systems.
- Manage, update, and optimize Energy Management Controls Systems and BMS platforms.
- Perform and supervise preventive maintenance, installations, inspections, and repairs for rotating equipment, refrigeration systems, safety devices, and electrical distribution systems.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement for system efficiency and uptime.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas (or a combination):
- Medium-voltage electrical distribution and controls, including emergency power.
- Mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, utility plant operations).
- Building management and automation controls.
- Vendor and contract management
- Experience with systems engineering projects and agile collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of utility plant systems and ability to lead work on electrical and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience supervising vendors and contractors.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and operational safety standards.
- Strong computer literacy and grasp of Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NFPA codes, and industry compliance frameworks.
