Manager, Product Management - Enterprise GenAI

Netflix

Remote (Los Gatos, USA) 1 day ago

$380,000 - $650,000

Role Details

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Manager to join our Enterprise GenAI product team. Our mission is to empower every employee to do the best work of their lives through intelligent, AI-driven tools. The Enterprise GenAI team sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI capabilities and the day-to-day work that keeps Netflix running at scale. This role will play a key part in defining and executing the strategy for our agentic future, while partnering closely with stunning colleagues across engineering, design and partners.

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual with deep AI fluency and a passion for business transformation. You’ll lead a small team of PMs while staying hands on as a Product Manager – defining strategy, driving execution, and internal GTM strategy.

About You:

You are curious, hands-on, and thrive in ambiguous spaces where the problem isn’t yet fully defined and the path forward requires both creative thinking and rigorous execution. You are genuinely excited about the potential of generative AI - not as a buzzword, but as a tool that can meaningfully change how people work.

You lead with empathy and humility. You are selfless in how you work – not attached to your own solutions, but committed to shared outcomes. You earn trust by rolling up your sleeves, getting into the weeds with business teams, and demonstrating through action. You know that the best ideas can come from anywhere, and you create the conditions for them. At Netflix, great work happens through trust and influence. You’ll work across engineering, data science, security, legal and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic roadmaps, taking GenAI product concepts from idea through validation, GTM, measurement, and iteration
  • Establish a strong team culture and help PMs navigate ambiguity and complexity by modeling strong product thinking – how to frame problems, build alignment, and make decisions with incomplete information
  • Communicate complex AI and LLM concepts and technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders, executive audiences and cross-functional partners
  • Scan industry landscapes and trends and bring new ideas to the table
  • Lead product rollout or GTM strategy across the entire enterprise – you must be comfortable with leading company-wide enablement and transformation
  • Partner with engineering, data scientists, design, security and legal to define guardrails, governance and strategy for the future of agentic
  • Have a deep understanding and empathy for a broad range of internal customers

Requirements:

While no candidate will check every box, we are looking for a seasoned Product leader with a proven track record of success

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 1-2 years managing other PMs, with a proven record of shipping impactful products
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of generative AI and machine learning, including LLMs, RAG, MCPs and agentic system design – and strong instincts for build v. buy
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end products from 0 to 1 and scaling them within complex organization
  • Ability to mobilize an entire organization towards a common goal and build strong relationships across functions and offices
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting technical and complex information to all audiences
  • Proven ability to lead people thoughtfully – developing PM talent while staying hands-on with strategy and execution
  • Experience building products for internal enterprise users is a plus
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating in a decentralized, fast-paced environment

Software Engineer 5 - Games Systems

Netflix

Remote (Usa - Remote, USA) 1 day ago

$388,000 - $619,000

Role Details

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

Bring your passion for games and distributed systems to help us reinvent video games at global scale. Netflix transformed how people watch television; now join us to build the next-generation gaming platform for 300+ million members worldwide and the industry’s best-in-class distribution platform for game developers.

The Opportunity: Building the Backbone of Netflix Gaming

Games Systems is the backend team building and operating the foundational services that power the Games Developer Platform and the infrastructure supporting Cloud Games. Our mission is to enhance player discovery, gameplay, and engagement across Netflix's entire game portfolio — equipping developers both internal and external, with the platform capabilities they need to ship, iterate, and grow their product experiences.

As an L5 Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and scaling services that empower game developers and elevate the global member experience. You’ll work on high-throughput, low-latency infrastructure for running games, while also building features that drive player engagement both within individual games and across the broader Netflix platform—reaching millions of members worldwide.

What You'll Do

Own Critical Infrastructure: Design and operate the foundational systems underpinning Games: identity/authentication/authorization abstractions, and control plane services.

Build the Developer Platform: Architect and evolve core services that form the table stakes of the Netflix Game Developer Platform — cloud saves, leaderboards, achievements, and the APIs and SDK surfaces through which game developers build and iterate.

Mentor and Grow the Team: Be a day-to-day technical resource for junior engineers through design pairing, code review, and hands-on guidance.

Operate What You Build: Own the full lifecycle from design through production, with a high bar for reliability, observability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating highly available distributed backend systems at scale.
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems — low-latency architecture, and fault-tolerant design, operating large-scale distributed datastores.
  • Strong experience building developer-facing platform services and APIs (REST, gRPC, SDK surfaces).
  • Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages (e.g., Java, C++).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), microservices, and both SQL and NoSQL data stores.
  • A track record of technical leadership — driving complex projects end-to-end, influencing across team boundaries, and raising the quality bar around you.
  • Comfort with high ambiguity — ability to define structure and clarity from first principles in a fast-moving environment.
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry or working on game platform infrastructure is a plus.

We seek to grow inclusive and diverse teams that will enhance our perspectives, skill sets, and behaviors. We highly encourage you to apply if your background will complement us, even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out — and set you apart — especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.

Games are our next big frontier and an incredible opportunity for us to deliver new experiences to delight and entertain our quickly growing membership. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we roll out more games on both mobile and cloud and be in a position to help us redefine what a Netflix subscription means for our members around the world.

You will be joining the Games Data Science & Engineering team at an exciting time as we roll out more games on both mobile and cloud. This isn't a traditional data engineering role, we are looking for a hybrid engineer to bridge the gap between core software engineering and massive-scale data processing. You won't just be analyzing game data; you will be building the infrastructure that captures, validates, and transports it at a global scale. You will specialize in recognizing patterns and turning them into efficient, scalable frameworks usable by multiple teams. Your goal is to create shared abstractions that lower the barrier to entry for the entire Games organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Build Telemetry Services: You will design and own Java/Spring Boot services that act as the gatekeeper for millions of global events, ensuring data integrity before it ever touches our core.
  • Manage the Distributed Core: You will oversee the "journey" of data through a heavy-hitting stack including Kafka, Flink, and Spark into storage solutions like Iceberg, Cassandra, and Redis.
  • Create Shared Abstractions: You will develop frameworks that evolve from data processing patterns into high-efficiency platforms, making it easier for others to build data-driven experiences.
  • Architect the SDK Layer: You will write high-performance, multi-language code that bridges Unity/Unreal engines with our cloud infrastructure. Your code must be "invisible" to the game’s frame rate while ensuring 100% telemetry accuracy.
  • Technical Leadership: You will proactively identify and resolve technical debt, increase automation, and champion best practices in data engineering and software development across the team. Mentor junior team members and help raise the technical bar for the entire DSE organization.

Who You Are:

  • We value people over process and look for humbly confident, action-oriented collaborators with deep technical expertise.
  • A JVM Expert: You have deep mastery of Java or Kotlin and thrive in a Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • A Hybrid Specialist: You possess a software engineering mindset and view data engineering as a software discipline. You may even be a software engineer with a focus or passion for data-driven solutions.
  • System Architect: You are proficient in System Design and Architecture and have experience with massive streaming pipelines and distributed storage.
  • Scale-Obsessed: You have a background in building systems that require high fault tolerance and can handle high writes/reads per second.
  • Stunning Colleague: You are a sharp communicator who can break down complex data problems. You relate to the Netflix Culture of Freedom and Responsibility, working independently while giving and receiving candid, constructive feedback.

The Opportunity:

With the explosion of Internet TV, Netflix has grown to serve over 300 million paid subscribers in over 190 countries worldwide. The Cloud Infrastructure organization’s mission is to increase the fleet-wide agility, scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our Platform. • Own the Tier 0 network governance layer that determines how every Netflix workload connects, from placement and addressing through security group policy and firewall enforcement.
  • Build, scale, and mentor a cohesive team of amazing engineers.
  • Form strong cross-functional partnerships driven by trust to achieve alignment with many engineering teams and ensure our solutions meet their needs, while maintaining our focus on agility, scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Build Netflix's network observability capability, evolving eBPF-based flow capture and IP topology into a full L3/L4 visibility platform that engineering teams use to understand, debug, and secure their traffic.
  • Drive the transition from per-service network configuration to opinionated, policy-driven defaults, making the secure path the easy path for thousands of microservices without requiring each team to be a networking expert.

What we are looking for:

  • A product-focused leader who understands what customers want and has a passion for building critical infrastructure platforms.
  • Leadership that treats Engineering process as a product, identifies friction in how the team builds, ships, and fixes software.
  • Strong software development focus with past work abstracting away complexity and guiding teams to deliver simple, effective solutions to customers.
  • Outcome-focused mindset and able to think from first principles.
  • Experience building and operating complex distributed systems at scale. We use AWS, experience with building/consuming the networking stack of a public cloud is a plus.
  • Shipping through organizational complexity. Proactively resolves cross-team dependencies, migration sequencing, competing priorities. Builds consensus and influences peer teams to move initiatives forward.
  • Solid understanding of Layer3/Layer4 networking, and network security is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. Principal Product Manager, Experimentation Platform

Netflix

Remote (Usa - Remote, USA) 1 day ago

$660,000 - $1,000,000

Role Details

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

Netflix’s Infrastructure Engineering organization provides the backbone that powers Netflix’s global scale and operations across business verticals. Within this organization, Data, AI & Experimentation Platforms accelerate product velocity and business impact by providing cohesive, reliable foundations for data, analytics, machine learning, and experimentation. We reduce friction across the insight-to-production loop so teams can move from questions to decisions and from prototypes to shipped features quickly, with confidence, and with measurable outcomes.

We enable teams to build and scale ML-powered products end-to-end with AI platform capabilities for training, model management, evaluation, observability, developer tooling, and production inference. Our experimentation platform makes it easy to design, launch, monitor, and interpret experiments so teams can iterate faster and validate impact with statistical rigor and accountability.

We also provide the data and analytics foundations that make information usable and trustworthy: streamlined data movement (ingestion, streaming, processing), standardized online data stores for real-time serving, and analytics experiences that accelerate discovery while enforcing consistent metrics, quality, lineage, ownership, and access controls. Ultimately, we make data- and AI-driven product development faster, safer, and more dependable at scale so teams can focus on building great experiences that entertain the world.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly technical Principal Product Manager to drive Netflix’s Experimentation Platform. Your primary mission is to make experimentation effortless and reliable for teams across Netflix so that they can ship faster with measurable impact and decision confidence. You will reduce friction across the end-to-end experimentation lifecycle and help turn individual experiment results into compounding organizational learning.

You will own product strategy and execution across the platform roadmap, spanning core experimentation workflows, platform APIs and integrations, allocation and orchestration, safety guardrails, and analysis and insights. You will partner closely with engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure the platform is intuitive for self-serve usage while meeting high standards for correctness, reliability, and scalability. Key responsibilities below:

  • Simplify experiment creation, launch, and interpretation to enable broad self-serve adoption.
  • Evolve APIs and integrations so partner teams can build on experimentation capabilities.
  • Improve allocation to increase test efficiency while supporting exclusions and complex targeting.
  • Strengthen safety systems and standardized guardrails to protect key business and product metrics.
  • Enable cross-test learning with better metadata, datasets, and tooling that surfaces insights at scale.
  • Extend foundations to adjacent areas such as canaries, model evaluation, and optimization.

In this role, you'll shape the future of the Experimentation Platform at Netflix by leading a product portfolio to drive significant business impact through your vision and product leadership. You'll have the autonomy to set strategic direction, solve complex challenges, and make high-leverage decisions that impact how product managers, data scientists, and software engineers drive decision making. By identifying breakthrough opportunities and championing solutions that advance business goals and user productivity, you'll evolve platform capabilities to maximize both immediate value and long-term success.

What makes this role exciting is the blend of strategic vision and hands-on leadership. You'll maintain a broad portfolio view while selectively diving deep where your expertise makes the most significant difference. Your success will be measured by enabling Netflix's growth, innovation, and competitive advantage, while delighting users with exceptional experiences that empower teams to work more efficiently and with greater satisfaction.

What You Will Do

As the Product Manager for Experimentation Platform, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Set Direction: Develop a compelling long-term vision and strategy for your portfolio, aligning user needs with business objectives and industry trends
  • Champion Users: Build deep user understanding and empathy through regular engagement, research, and feedback loops to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Manage Roadmap: Develop and prioritize initiatives that balance immediate needs with strategic evolution to maximize impact, making thoughtful trade-offs and aligning stakeholders.
  • Guide Development: Partner with design and engineering to define requirements, create intuitive interfaces, and validate solutions that ensure cohesive user journeys across the platform ecosystem.
  • Support Architecture: Partner with engineering on critical architectural decisions to ensure platform sustainability, scalability, and flexibility, while strategically managing technical debt.
  • Drive Adoption: Create effective rollout strategies and promote new capabilities through targeted communication, education, and roadshows, while providing comprehensive documentation, learning resources, and self-service tools that accelerate adoption and reduce support burden.
  • Drive Improvement: Define success metrics tied to user satisfaction and productivity, instrument the platform to measure them, and run a continuous cycle of data-driven experiments to prioritize and improve capabilities.
  • Establish Governance: Develop platform standards and processes that balance flexibility with standardization and innovation with stability to maintain quality and consistency, including API design guidelines, versioning policies, and deprecation protocols.
  • Align Stakeholders: Build strategic relationships and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive alignment and create shared ownership of outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

We value candidates who can balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, technical depth with user empathy, and decisive leadership with collaborative partnership. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can navigate complex technical and organizational landscapes, and ultimately delivers significant impact for your users and Netflix as a whole.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes and experiences:

*Technical Excellence*

  • *Expertise*: 10+ years of Technical Product Management experience (or equivalent technical role) in complex technical domains. Comfortable discussing technical design trade-offs and system quality attributes with engineering teams.
  • *Domain Knowledge*: Strong knowledge of experimentation and causal inference fundamentals, A/B and multivariate testing, and platform capabilities, including allocations, metric instrumentation, and governance, experiment runtime/triggering, analysis pipelines, and monitoring for bias, novelty, and interference.
  • *Curiosity*: Demonstrated passion for experimentation platforms and methodologies with a pulse on emerging trends. Actively seeks new perspectives and brings fresh thinking to technical challenges. Regularly uses products and observes customers to identify opportunities for improvement.

*Product Leadership*

  • *Strategic Vision*: Proven track record of managing product portfolios in complex technical domains with a clear vision and strategy to maximize portfolio impact. Skilled at connecting business objectives with user needs, balancing quick wins with strategic bets, and making thoughtful trade-offs.
  • *Customer Obsession*: Deeply understands user needs through continuous engagement. Exceptional at identifying and articulating clear problem statements. Develops innovative solutions with strong product intuition and taste, thinking holistically about end-to-end user experience.
  • *Business Acumen*: Understands how platform investments drive business outcomes. Articulates the ROI of technical investments in business terms and connects platform capabilities to Netflix's strategic priorities. Balances technical excellence with business pragmatism.
  • *Data Driven*: Deeply analytical mindset that leverages quantitative and qualitative data to understand user behavior, validate assumptions, and inform product decisions. Builds a metrics-driven culture with clear success metrics to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • *Decisive Leadership*: Makes timely decisions that provide clear direction and reduce ambiguity, without falling into analysis paralysis. Shows conviction in product opinions while remaining open to new information. Removes decision bottlenecks and shields teams from unnecessary scope creep.

*Collaboration & Influence*

  • *First Team Player*: Creates psychological safety through vulnerability and assuming best intentions. Values diverse perspectives and operates with a collaborative mindset where team success trumps individual accomplishments. Skilled at giving and receiving feedback with a growth mindset.
  • *Stakeholder Alignment*: Builds strong relationships across organizational boundaries, grounded in mutual respect and shared goals. Navigates complex organizational dynamics to drive alignment. Adapts communication style to different audiences and contexts to maximize effectiveness.
  • *Influential Communication*: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire. Great at rallying teams around a vision and motivating others to action.

*Execution Excellence*

  • *Delivery Focus*: Builds reputation through consistent, high-quality delivery. Disciplined prioritization with clear timelines and accountability. Drives initiatives to completion rather than letting them linger. Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information and adjusting course as needed.
  • *Learning Mindset*: Champions incremental learning and fast feedback loops with customers. Values progress over perfection and breaks down large initiatives into manageable increments that deliver value at each stage. Adapts quickly based on real-world user feedback.
