Job Description
In this role, Senior Hardware Design Engineer – Aggregator, you will be responsible for Aggregator Hardware Design & Execution and develop and/or improve hardware development process with center of expertise. You will work with cross functional team (Semi conductor, DREs, GM software, PCB layout, Mechanical Engineering, Supplier, Validation) to deliver quality product on time.
You'll effectively achieve program milestones by thorough and effective program management.
We are seeking a high performing independent Senior Hardware Design Engineer – Aggregator to develop winning execution strategies, oversee solutions, resolve issues, and deliver continuous improvement for Aggregators considering quality, cost, and timing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Aggregator(s) electrical hardware design.
- Work closely with other teams, such as software engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical hardware designs into the overall product.
- Lead embedded designs for advanced module architectures.
- Lead new IC design/development strategic to advanced in-vehicle architectures
- Lead electrical schematic design and PCB layout
- Assess the feasibility of proposed electrical hardware designs, considering factors such as cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Support next generation designs in digital/analog hardware including Gig+ ethernet, processors, memory, eFuse, FET, HSD/LSD, various semi associated with Aggregators
- Perform/Review electrical worst case analysis
- Represent the GM HW team as design expert in the core technologies developed among the team
- Optimize five-point parametric tests and finalize end of line production tests
- Lead the process as a build-to-print engineer that also acts as a liaison with the contract house
- Lead/execute/support design testing, issue resolution, and design improvement
- Apply cost effective solutions with improved performance design
- Lead product development as part of a multi hub engineering organizations based in Detroit and West Coast
- Refine/optimize requirements with MPG team
- Maintain Aggregator Hardware Design deliverables e.g., Block Diagram, Schematics, PCB layout, …
- Lead Peer Reviews and identify issues (e.g. integration, interfaces, systemic issues)
- Support Engineering Change Request (ECR) of Aggregators.
- Support Assembly Plant issue resolution
- Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting activities to support PRTS Issue Resolution
- Support Product Investigations (SFI Process)
- Lead Cost Reduction
- Provides guidance and consultation to Design Release Engineers (DREs) in product development team meeting
- Create and maintain Best Practices
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within Aggregator team and across other SMTs.
- Collaborate and strategize with Aggregator TS, Electric Power (Sub)system TS, and Safety
- Ensure all vehicle Program Imperatives (i.e., piece cost, investment, mass, base engineering content & IPTV) involving these components are met.
- Work with DRE/Validation group to setup a plan for a component validation plan (includes component software verification) and ensure that the plan is executed in time to meet program imperatives.
- Participate in Formal Design, Peer and Quality Valve reviews as required by the Vehicle Development Process (VDP).
- Develop/Review/Approve all In-process Electrical test plans.
- Support vehicle integration activity for pre-production and production vehicles
- Lead/participate in issue resolution for design and development issues, ECU warranty analysis, parts restriction and report updates as required to Engineering and Vehicle Team leadership
- Lead/support DFMEA/PFMEA of Aggregator
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering Required. Masters degree preferred
- Professional experience creating digital/analog HW interfaces including schematic creation and/or PCB layout & supportive documentation
- Minimum 7+ years working experience in automotive hardware electronics design
- Experience in design & analysis tools like Mentor Graphics (schematic & layout) MathCad, PSpice & Saber
- High speed Communication Buses (Ethernet, PCIe, SerDes…)
- In-depth knowledge of Low voltage power distribution (eFuse, FET, Thermal, LiB, DC/DC)
- In-depth knowledge of requirements engineering process (FMEA, Preliminary Hazard Analyses)
- In-depth knowledge of verification and validation processes

The AI Cloud and Developer Infrastructure organization is responsible for delivering and maintaining the tools and services engineers here at GM use every day to do their best work and drive our cars forward. The Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with an extensive background in build tooling, experience using a variety of developer tools and technologies, and who is passionate about developer productivity. As a leader on this team, we are looking for someone who cares deeply about the technical development of other engineers on the team and can effectively balance the needs and priorities of the business, our users, and the growth of our engineers.
The Team
Build Platform owns creating the build system and tooling that supports our AV and AI developers. We use Bazel in front of an in-house Remote Bazel Executor (RBE) and Content Addressable Storage (CAS) to provide a premier build experience at Cruise. Our team is constantly on the lookout for optimizations and new tooling that improves our product. GM AI developers are heavy users of Python and Docker. The speed at which they can iterate directly impacts the rate at which our AVs improve. The tooling and workflows that Build Platform provides are central to the productivity of our AI developers. Improvements in this space quickly lead to enormous impact for Cruise.
The way this manager will deliver impact may vary depending on the situation but they will be expected to develop and manage a successful team, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

The Role:
As the Technical Specialist - HW/SW integration for the SDV 2.0 Aggregator supporting the Ultifi platform, you will plan, lead, and execute SDV 2.0 hardware–software as a product. You will provide technical direction for both internal GM teams and external suppliers, using quantitative and qualitative data to solve highly complex problems. You will also develop and drive strategic software and systems solutions that enable key business and program initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the system architect interface between in‑house Aggregator hardware design teams and GM software teams, leading production execution.
- Understand the SDV 2.0 Aggregator Hardware Product and Mechatronics Software Architecture (Farm–Aggregator–Extender) and lead/support development and release of software content aligned with program milestones.
- Interpret Aggregator/Extender requirements and software content needs across all project phases, including Design, Validation (PreDV, DV, PV), and key program deliverables (CVF, PPTB, PTB, PPV, MVB, SORP).
- Lead or support software architecture definition, RASIC alignment between Aggregator hardware, GM software teams, and associated delivery plans.
- Lead/support HSIS activities aligned with Aggregator hardware.
- Lead/support hardware/software integration troubleshooting at GM internal labs, benches, factories, and external locations (suppliers, dealers) as required to resolve issues.
- Prepare and coordinate software timing plans that ensure all program requirements and MRD dates are met with the appropriate level of software maturity.
- Lead/support maintenance of software functional component specifications.
- Participate in Product Development Team (PDT) meetings to coordinate development and integration of products into the vehicle.
- Represent Aggregator and Extender components at Vehicle Program Team and management reviews as requested.
- Author and approve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to release software.
- Drive resolution of software issues and roadblocks, escalating to leadership as appropriate.
- Support sourcing activities for infrastructure and software elements in partnership with Purchasing.
- Support integration and bench testing activities.
- Coordinate diagnostic development, integration, and testing for Aggregator/Extender functions.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience applying microprocessor based‑ controllers to automotive vehicle electrical systems.
- Foundational understanding of software development, hardware/software co‑design, and verification/validation processes.

This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role:
We are seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design and advancement of our AI platform. You will play a key role in shaping the infrastructure that powers large-scale training and cloud inference. This includes accelerating training throughput, scaling multi-modal models, and enabling the next generation of AI-driven driving systems. We're tackling challenges across distributed training, training efficiency, DDP/FSDP, data processing pipelines, and Pytorch model optimization. This is a highly impactful position where your technical leadership will define how we scale AI to achieve autonomy.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect, build, and optimize core AI/ML platform infrastructure to support massive-scale model training.
