Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements
• Translate business needs into epics, user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
• Perform current-state and future-state analysis, including process flows and gap analysis
• Collaborate with engineering teams on API-based integrations and system interfaces

We’re seeking a Systems Reliability & Support Specialist Sr. to own and evolve Workday integrations and related HR/Payroll applications. You’ll lead ETL workflows, mainframe JCL jobs, file transmissions, and monitoring across a complex, business critical ecosystem. This role combines hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration with vendors and internal technology partners.

How This Role Fits In
The HR Core Apps & Payroll team supports Workday and other vendor applications that underpin our HR and payroll operations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality of all changes and upgrades to our Core HR system, as well as supporting systems and vendor applications.

What You’ll Do
• Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, mentor peers, and contribute to engineering standards.
• Act as Application Technical Lead: Must demonstrate ownership of governance and controls for assigned applications; this includes timely certificate renewals, remediation of vulnerabilities, and responding to internal and external audits.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Use tools like Dynatrace and BigPanda to detect anomalies, reduce MTTR, and drive incident prevention through observability and automation.
• Access & Security: Partner with PNC Enterprise security and access management teams to ensure data security and privacy controls for all assigned applications.

The Software Engineer Principal on the Privilege team is responsible for engineering, enhancing, and operating enterprise privileged access management (PAM) capabilities. This role focuses on building and sustaining secure, reliable CyberArk-based services that protect privileged credentials while enabling controlled administrative and application access across the enterprise. The engineer owns complex technical work independently and drives improvements to platform stability, onboarding automation, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and support PAM solutions using CyberArk and related privileged access services, with a focus on secure credential vaulting, rotation, and access patterns for both human and non human accounts.
• Own engineering delivery for privileged account onboarding and integrations, partnering with application and infrastructure teams to implement secure, scalable access solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across the PAM stack, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes to improve reliability and reduce repeat incidents.
