Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Digital Trip Management API Team, you’ll design, develop, test, and implement reliable, well‑integrated APIs that power key post‑booking experiences on Southwest.com. From check‑in and flight modifications to reservation management and baggage handling, your work ensures millions of Customers can seamlessly manage their travel. You’ll bring advanced engineering expertise, proactively prevent production issues, drive immediate resolutions, and mentor other engineers while championing “shift‑left” quality practices. Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical direction and feature roadmap of large-scale cloud systems
  • Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members
