Role Summary

Enable technology partners to integrate, validate, and deploy solutions with HPE Networking products across campus, edge, and wireless environments.

Act as the technical liaison between partners, product teams, and field sales to accelerate joint solutions, ensure interoperability, and drive partner-sourced business outcomes.

Own partner technical enablement, reference integrations, hands-on validation, and ongoing support for certified integrations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead technical engagements with partners to design, build, and validate integrations with HPE Networking APIs, SDKs, and management platforms.

Create and maintain integration reference architectures, sample code, automation playbooks, and test plans to accelerate partner onboarding.

Required Qualifications (Experience, Skills, Certifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking, network engineering, solutions engineering, or partner integrations.

Deep technical knowledge of networking fundamentals: switching, routing, VLANs, L2/L3 services, wireless, and fabric architectures.

Proven experience with network programmability and automation: REST APIs, Python scripting, Ansible, or equivalent tools.

Experience building and validating integrations in lab or production environments, including use of network simulators and test frameworks.

You will lead cross-functional teams delivering complex hardware, software and services to external customers under contract, and be the trusted interface between customers, engineering, supply chain, and operations.

Job Description:
The engineering team works on a highly scalable, distributed SDWAN application that is AI-Driven. You will have the chance to create and implement inventive solutions for the architectural complexities involved in intelligent path routing. You will actively work on project teams with other highly skilled engineers involved in the software development for WAN Assurance – A hyper-scalable cloud AIOps platform. About the Position:Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager of Advanced Services, this is a highly technical role, providing post-sales support of Junipers Network Products. The Resident Engineer will work daily with the customer either remotely or at the customer location and is expected to have expertise on Juniper products deployed or to be deployed within the customer’s service provider network and provide technical and operational support on network issues, on-going certification and testing efforts. Although location in the Dallas Texas area is preferred, remote status with occasional travel will be considered for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
This is a full-time position and may require long work hours or occasional on call weekend support. Technical support to the customer may require the Resident Engineer to:
- Understand the customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in designing a network that is available and sustainable.
- To hold network information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
- Carry out testing of new tools, features, and functionality as required by the customer in a laboratory environment and to help develop plans to implement and verify that they are operating correctly in the live network
- Test patches and fixes to operating software and to ensure that they are implemented and functioning correctly in the pre-production test network and then live network as implementation plans dictate.
- Hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being tried
- Support design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series and associated solutions within customer’s commercial network

In this key position within the CETQ department, you will be responsible for semiconductor technology component engineering for CommIC products family. This role will be a key technical resource with the responsibility of introducing and owning all CommIC products in terms of design-in, testing, manufacturing and quality. You will be the primary resource of CommIC technologies for the design teams throughout Juniper Engineering. You will work on all lifecycle phases, from new product introduction through end of life.

The Resident Engineer will be required to develop and maintain an expertise on the products deployed within the customer’s network and provide mentoring on Juniper solutions.
The candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track of experience in the Resident Engineering environment. This is a senior role, and the candidate must be able to work on its own, under live network environment pressure.

- TCP/IP fundamentals IP sub-netting and super-netting and hierarchical routing principles Routing protocol operation (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, RSVP, IPv6, Segment Routing and BGP) Routing policies at BGP peering points VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (L2TP, MPLS, etc.)
- Detailed technical experience in the installation and operation of switches and IP routers. This includes hands-on operation of management tools and network analyzers
- Strong experience in troubleshooting complex issues both at the device-level and network-level, in a multi-vendor environment. Able to isolate and identify configuration and product issues
- Comprehensive understanding of new WAN architectures including for segment routing SRv6
- Understanding of multicast protocols and implementation of IPTV services over an IP infrastructure
- Comprehensive understanding of Broadband Networks Gateway (BNG) using protocols such as PPPoE and RADIUS as well as a fundamental understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) and Pseudowire Headend Termination (PWHT)
- Experience in managing and configuring Juniper MX or comparable BNG platforms is a plus

The HPE Quantum team at HPE Labs is developing new approaches for quantum computing, including integration with high performance computing. We are simultaneously solving research problems and creating structures for HPE’s business offerings in this area. As a Senior Research Engineer with a focus on Quantum Error Correction (QEC), you will be at the forefront of our efforts to bring quantum computing from a dream to a useful reality. The Resident Network Engineer is an integral part of our mission within the enterprise sector, providing pre and post-sales support for HPE Networking products. You will be part of a customer account that has experienced high, steady growth over the past few years. As a Resident Network Engineer, you will be the trusted advisor to our customers supporting our mission to help them quickly and completely adopt our portfolio of products. This is a highly technical role, and you will develop and maintain expert-level skill sets on our products and solutions deployed within the customer's environment.
This is a US based telework position.
Role Responsibilities:
- To hold network information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
- To understand the Customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in supporting a network that is available and sustainable.
- To carry out testing of new Designs, features, and functionality as required by the Customer in a laboratory environment and to help develop plans to implement and verify that they are operating correctly in the live network.
- To test patches and fixes to operating software and to ensure that they are implemented and functioning correctly in the pre-production test network and then live network as implementation plans dictate.
- Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and open and track JTAC cases to resolve problems on pre- and post-production issues.
- To raise equipment, Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and to track these through to problem resolution
- To produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems regularly to the Customer
- To hold technology workshops with the Customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being tried
- To train the Customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the HPE Networking products
- To assist the Customer in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures
- Support the production environment of products within the Customer infrastructure
- Support ongoing efforts in defining best practice policies for product applications used by Customer Business Use Only
- The Resident Network Engineer is expected to peer with other employees performing similar resident engineering roles where lessons learned may help minimize risk associated with major network upgrades or changes in the network.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
- JUNOS CLI experience.
- Must have large-scale experience with Juniper hardware (ACX, EX, QFX and Mist Wireless products)
- EVPN-VXLAN Campus and Data Center Juniper switching fabric (spine-leaf) experience
- Apstra experience for configuring, managing switching fabrics
- Extensive Mist Wireless and Wired experience
- Good verbal and written communication and documentation skills
- Experience with core routing BGP, OSPF protocols.
- Experience with design and/or deployment of switching and wireless products within the Customer infrastructure.
- Mist Wired assurance ideal
- Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences.

As an AI Solution Engineer your role will be to architect, build, and deliver AI solutions in the form of demos and proof-of-concepts for customers during the pre-sales stage of customer engagements. These solutions will include a combination of hardware, software and services that aim to deliver an AI outcome in pursuit of a sales opportunity. Given the broad range of options available for each level of the solution stack, you will be expected to have an understanding of the most popular options and capabilities to make the appropriate recommendations based on prospects' use cases and expected outcomes. You will be working closely with HPE Sales, Architects, and Partners to solution and implement proof-of-concepts that can not only be used as prototypes during pre-sales but also expandable to production deployments post-sales.
In a typical day as an AI Solution Engineer, your responsibilities would include:
- Lead technical discussions with prospects and partners to propose HPE and partner Integrated solutions that address business challenges and opportunities using AI.
- Demo AI solutions (either existing or built by you) to prospects that address their use cases or desired AI outcomes.
- Lead Proof-of-Concepts / Proof-of-Value engagements for HPE prospects that demonstrate clear value from HPE's AI offerings, likely in combination with 3rd Party and Open Source components.
- Assist in any product or technical issue towards an initial sale or renewal of a customer.
