We're looking for a Network Engineerwith a strong focus on cloud networking to join our team. In this role, you'll help design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable network infrastructure across our cloud environments. You'll work closely with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless connectivity and performance for our platform and services.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and manage cloud networking architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and interconnects).
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.).
• Integrate networking into CI/CD workflows and cloud-native deployments (Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service mesh).
• Troubleshoot Linux-based networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, iptables) across layers 3–7.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve performance, availability, and security.
• Contribute to network observability and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Document designs, processes, and runbooks; participate in on-call rotation.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Network Engineering with a strong cloud focus.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, firewalls).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, Helm).
• Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress, service mesh).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in Linux networking.
• Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Traditional data center networking knowledge (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers – Cisco, Arista, Juniper, F5).
• Familiarity with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, GRE).
• Experience with security best practices (network segmentation, zero-trust).
• Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or Go).

*Introduction:*

As part of our Solutions Engineering team, you'll bridge the gap between engineering and our most important customers, guiding them through SDK, API, and integration complexities to help them succeed with their Ad Monetization and User Acquisition strategies.

*What You Will Do:*

• Investigate, debug and reproduce customer issues, pinpoint root causes, and outline concrete code or config changes
• Query and visualize large data sets to spot anomalies, performance drops, or emerging patterns
• Deliver clear and actionable technical guidance for our business teams

*Who You Are:*

• 1 - 3 years of experience developing mobile apps in Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin or, C#
• Clear, concise written communicator - equally comfortable with internal technical discussions and external client emails
• Quick study who readily picks up new tools and concepts

*Preferred Qualifications:*

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Familiarity with Unity, React Native, or other cross-platform frameworks

A Day in the Life

As a member of our software engineering infra team, you'll solve technical challenges, including upgrading and implementing state-of-the-art software infrastructure. The team builds a high-performance, high availability, globally distributed ecosystem platform of services that in turn provide the foundation for rapid development of novel new systems that integrate into that ecosystem and improve it.

Our infra team is responsible for providing and maintaining scalable infrastructure with high throughput and low latency to our bidding ecosystem. You will be exposed to the whole pipeline of model delivery, including training, serving, and optimizations, etc.

The Impact You'll Make

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale distributed systems
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to meet a wide range of technological challenges
• Work closely with our research science team and backend team to contribute and influence the roadmap of our products and technologies
• Influence and inspire team members
• Speed up the performance of our online models
• Optimize the model delivery pipeline

Who You Are

• Have 0-2 years of experience and a minimum of a BS and/or MS in Computer Science
• Have excellent knowledge of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and coding
• Good experience with C++, Python and/or Golang is a plus
• Experience independently creating and maintaining projects

The Role

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with strong experience in large-scale recommendation systems to help build the next-generation social media platform.

You will own critical components of our recommendation stack — including recall, ranking, CTR modeling, and multi-objective optimization — with the goal of driving retention, engagement, and long-term ecosystem growth.

A Day in the Life

• Design and deploy scalable recommendation pipelines
• Develop and optimize CTR/CVR prediction models
• Improve multi-objective ranking strategies (retention, monetization, diversity, long-term value)
• Tackle cold-start challenges for new users and new content
• Run offline experiments and online A/B testing to drive measurable gains
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and monetization teams
• Continuously iterate on model performance, latency, and system reliability

• Improve user retention through intelligent content recommendation
• Drive measurable lift in engagement and monetization metrics
• Build core ranking mechanics beyond incremental model tuning
• Shape the foundation of a scalable, long-term content ecosystem

Who You Are

• 3–5 years of experience building production-grade ML systems
• Strong hands-on experience in recommendation systems

• Experience in one or more:

• Recall systems / candidate generation

• Ranking models
• CTR prediction

• Multi-task or multi-objective optimization

• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience with large-scale data systems and distributed training is a plus
• Experience improving retention or long-term user value is highly valued

We’re creating a world-class academic-industrial hybrid research group to advance recommender systems. Unlike academia, your work won’t live only in papers — it will be deployed into real products, used by millions, and validated at scale. What You’ll Do

• Drive foundational research to create new recommendation models and paradigms.
• Leverage rich live user data and large-scale compute to validate models rapidly.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to operationalize research.
• Publish findings and contribute to the broader ML and RecSys community.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent research experience) in CS, ML, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong background in deep learning.
• Proven track record of research excellence (publications, awards, impactful projects).
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch).
• Experience with large-scale data and experimentation.

Nice to Have

• Publications in top venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, KDD, RecSys, SIGIR, WWW).
• Experience with sequential modeling, representation learning, or causal inference.
• Knowledge of online experimentation and evaluation methodologies.
• Industry experience deploying ML in production systems.

As a Backend Engineer for this venture, you will architect the digital backbone of our next-generation social platform. You'll design and build robust, scalable systems that power everything from seamless media delivery and real-time social interactions to our intelligent content discovery engine. Your day will involve rapidly shipping MVPs for our Creator and Content Operation platforms, ensuring our internal tools are as powerful as our user-facing app. You will drive the technical direction of our platform by collaborating with product managers and AI engineers to translate ambitious ideas into scalable architecture.

The Impact You'll Make

• Build Creator & Ops Platforms: Design and own the high-velocity services that power our creator ecosystem and internal content operation tools.
• Design and Build Core Services: Architect and develop fundamental backend services and APIs that support content delivery, user interactions, and real-time engagement.
• Develop Scalable Systems: Build and optimize large-scale distributed systems for media processing, storage, and high-concurrency content distribution.
• Architect Data Infrastructure: Design our data infrastructure to support real-time analytics and empower machine learning recommendation systems.
• Ensure Platform Integrity: Implement robust content ecosystem and safety mechanisms to maintain platform health and user trust.
• Enable Real-time Engagement: Create scalable real-time services for social features including messaging, notifications, and live interactions.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of backend development experience with a strong track record of building and scaling distributed systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Generalist Mindset: Deep proficiency in at least one major backend language (Go, Java, or Python) and the adaptability to pick up new tools as the product evolves.
• Fast Builder: You thrive on shipping early versions of a product quickly and are comfortable prioritizing "speed-to-market" over rigid big-company processes.
• Product-Focused: Experience building B2B or B2C service applications; you prefer solving user-facing problems rather than purely low-level infrastructure.
• System Design Expert: Strong experience with relational/NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching systems (Redis, Kafka, Postgres, etc.).
• Collaborative & Scrappy: Proven ability to work in a startup setting where you own features from design to launch, supported by an internal Ops/Infra team.
• Solid Fundamentals: Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and how to design high-traffic backend services.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with media streaming protocols or processing pipelines.
• Knowledge of recommendation systems or machine learning infrastructure.
• Background in real-time communication technologies.
• Previous experience building social platforms or content-driven products.

About you:

A good candidate generally has:

• Experience working with state of the art Machine Learning/Deep Learning models to solve hard problems.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Deep Learning frameworks (preferably PyTorch).
• Strong mathematical skills, and the ability to understand and interpret data.
• The drive to want to make an impact on the company you work for.

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
• Strong C++ or Java programming ability in addition to Python.
• Prior experience working with recommendation models specifically.

Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The Role

We are looking for passionate Android Mobile Engineers to help build a next-generation social media platform.

Our goal is to empower users and creators to share meaningful content, connect in real time, and build vibrant communities directly from their smartphones. You will play a critical role in shaping core user experiences, including content creation, video editing tools, interactive features, and real-time communication.

This is a high-impact 0→1 opportunity within a fast-moving R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable architecture and core mobile features for complex applications
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences
• Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of the Android application
• Maintain clean, scalable architecture and high engineering standards
• Ship reliable, high-quality code in a fast-paced iteration cycle

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Strong knowledge of performance optimization and Android platform capabilities
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building consumer-facing mobile products at scale

• Experience working on:

• Video editing or media processing features (encoding, rendering, filters, trimming, etc.)

• UGC-based platforms or creator tools

About the role

We are building a layered AI intelligence system — a multi-layer agent architecture with a dynamic router, context engine, execution loop, verification layer, and eval feedback cycle — designed to handle long-horizon business tasks that cannot be accomplished in a single model inference.

We are looking for engineers who understand that building with LLMs is not the same as building conventional software — and who find that difference interesting, not frustrating. You will own one or more layers of our AI system, from design through production, and iterate on them based on real-world failures.

What you will own

You will be matched to one of these layer areas based on your background and interest:

• Context engine: design and operate the RAG pipeline, memory architecture, MCP tool integrations, and prompt library that give the system company-specific knowledge at inference time
• Execution loop: build the action-observe-act cycle, tool integrations, state management, and logging infrastructure that let the system pursue multi-step goals
• Verification layer: design the checker model, confidence scoring, and human escalation logic that prevents the system from committing to bad outputs

What we are looking for

• 1–3 years of experience building real systems that use LLMs — not just calling an API, but designing context, handling failures, and shipping to users
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: you write clean, testable code and you think about what happens when things break
• Genuine curiosity about how LLMs behave: you have noticed patterns in how models succeed and fail, and you have opinions about why
• Ability to move quickly and iterate: we are building in a new space and the path forward involves learning from production

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases, embedding models, or retrieval systems
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or similar
• Experience designing prompts systematically — treating prompt design as an engineering discipline

About the role

This system will be designed to handle long-horizon business tasks that cannot be accomplished in a single model inference.

As the AI Systems Architect, you will own the design of the entire system. You will decide how intelligence is structured across layers, how context flows between components, when the system routes to a human, and how failures feed back into improvement. You will set the standards the rest of the team builds to.

What you will build

• The router: the component that selects which role to invoke next — executor, planner, verifier, clarifier — based on current task state, risk level, and uncertainty
• The context engine: RAG pipelines, structured memory, MCP tool connections, and the prompt library that gives the system company-specific knowledge
• The execution loop: the action-observe-act cycle that lets the system pursue multi-step goals with real-world grounding
• The verification layer: checker model design, confidence thresholds, and human escalation logic for irreversible actions
• The eval loop: the feedback cycle that makes the system improve over time without retraining the base model

What we are looking for

• Deep understanding of how LLMs behave, fail, and can be steered through prompt design and context structure
• Experience building and shipping multi-step agentic systems in production — not prototypes
• Systems thinking: ability to design interfaces between components, reason about failure modes, and make architecture decisions that scale
• Strong opinions about what does and does not work in LLM system design, backed by real experience
• Comfort with ambiguity — this is a new field and there are no established playbooks

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, and retrieval systems

• Background in distributed systems or backend infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, analytical, and results-focused Manager, Business Development to join our fast-paced and expanding eCommerce team. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new business line from the ground up and work at the intersection of performance marketing and business development within the rapidly growing eCommerce space.

In this client-facing role, you’ll partner with eCommerce brands to unlock growth by leveraging AppLovin’s marketing platform. You’ll build strong relationships with key stakeholders, help them optimize campaigns, and lead strategic initiatives that drive business outcomes. You’ll also work closely with AppLovin leadership and product experts to evolve our eCommerce advertising solution and drive adoption in the market.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact new and existing eCommerce partners to pitch, onboard, and scale their usage of AppLovin’s platform.
• Leverage a strong consultative sales approach to engage with CMOs, Heads of Marketing, and key decision-makers.
• Act as a trusted advisor to your portfolio of eCommerce brands, ensuring long-term success and growth.
• Define and analyze metrics to ensure success for our strategic partners.
• Set up and grow campaigns by analyzing data, testing ideas for creative ad sets, and proactively optimize toward performance targets.
• Become an expert on AppLovin’s mobile advertising products for eCommerce brands.
• Represent AppLovin at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Sales, Product, and Data Science to drive client success and shape go-to-market strategies.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, media buying, or digital strategy in the eCommerce industry.
• Strong understanding of key performance KPIs, attribution models, and customer behavior analytics.
• Experience with Shopify and direct-to-consumer (DTC) business models.
• Demonstrate outstanding analytical ability and strategic grasp of the “big picture”.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and clearly able to communicate concepts and ideas
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
• Flexible team-player who can use drive, creativity, and initiative to move the organization forward.
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets, with a strong ability to analyze complex data and identify actionable patterns to drive strategic decision-making and optimize client outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with a strong academic record.
• Familiarity with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, or other digital marketing platforms.
• Experience with full-funnel media buying, conversion rate optimization (CRO) tactics, incrementality tests, and lifecycle marketing.
• Mobile experience and knowledge of the mobile advertising landscape.
• A basic understanding of programming or scripting.
• Understanding of models for intelligent decision making, such as game theory, chess, or poker.

About the Role

AppLovin is seeking a highly quantitative Growth Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your curiosity, skills, and analytical mindset to uncover insights and opportunities that enhance our eCommerce product. Your natural problem-solving instincts and passion for discovery will help you identify potential challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth. This position requires close collaboration with various internal teams such as business development, engineering, and measurement partnerships, and also provides the opportunity to work directly with AppLovin’s leadership to help shape and implement our strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply curiosity and data-driven problem solving to uncover insights and execute top growth opportunities for the company.
• Help define and shape the company’s business intelligence products and tools, informed by industry standards and product knowledge.
• Define and analyze key metrics to achieve success for our partners.
• Monitor daily performance against these key metrics to identify opportunities and anomalies.
• Become a mobile & e-commerce advertising guru and expert on our suite of products.
• Stay relevant on industry trends and work with the engineering team to develop and test innovative, high-impact features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, R&D, Engineering, Creative, and Marketing) to identify opportunities for new features, products, and partnerships.
• Partner with the client teams to drive strategic initiatives and establish “learning agendas” that help clients improve business outcomes.
• Translate complex research results into clear, actionable insights for a general audience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, engineering, or computer science).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/Pandas, and Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
• Thorough understanding of data structures.
• Significant experience in data analysis in an online environment, with direct exposure to scoping and executing analytical projects end-to-end.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, uncover insights, and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical methodologies to real-world problems.
• A natural curiosity to explore the “why” behind the data and drive innovative solutions.
• Strong prioritization skills to manage competing demands and deliver results.
• Flexible team player who can use drive, creativity, and initiative to move the organization forward.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with and/or knowledge of the following are a plus: Airflow, web development, HTTP requests.

AppLovin’s BizOps team is a small, high-impact group. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast paced, intellectually curious team that thrives on solving complex, unstructured problems. We are plugged into various parts of the organization from Product and Engineering to Creative Services and Business Development, and regularly collaborate with these teams and senior leadership to solve challenging business issues and work on high impact projects.

About the Role

• Apply data-driven problem solving to help scale some of the world’s largest consumer apps against key KPIs. Identify growth opportunities and translate insights into clear execution plans that drive measurable business impact.
• Operate at both the micro and macro level. Identifying trends, challenges, and untapped growth opportunities across the organization.
• Dive into large, complex datasets using tools such as SQL, LLMs, Python etc. to break down ambiguous problems and uncover insights and root causes. Transform raw data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive strategy and unlock growth opportunities.
• Own and execute high impact projects that improve operational efficiency and unlock new revenue streams. Partner closely with Business Development teams to roll out scalable, repeatable solutions that deliver measurable results.
• Design and implement alerting systems, processes, dashboards and frameworks that proactively identify issues, triage widespread problems, and surface opportunities before they become obvious - helping the organization move faster and smarter.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Senior Executives, Product, Engineering and Creative Services teams to test features, validate new tools, and shape high impact initiatives. Identify systemic gaps, escalate critical issues, and help inform the development of new products and capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in an analytically driven role, ideally in high-growth tech, strategy & ops, product management, investment banking or top-tier consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., math, computer science, economics, engineering) or from a top-tier business school.
• Strong analytical ability with experience working across complex quantitative problems and large datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and analytical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid track record of working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Highly detail oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, analytical, and results-focused Business Development Analyst to join our fast-paced and expanding eCommerce team. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new business line from the ground up and work at the intersection of performance marketing and business development within the rapidly growing eCommerce space.

In this client-facing role, you’ll partner with eCommerce brands to unlock growth by leveraging AppLovin’s marketing platform. You’ll build strong relationships with key stakeholders, help them optimize campaigns, and lead strategic initiatives that drive business outcomes. You’ll also work closely with AppLovin leadership and product experts to evolve our eCommerce advertising solution and drive adoption in the market.

Responsibilities

• Onboard eCommerce brands to our platform and educate them on AppLovin’s eCommerce growth solution.
• Understand what matters most to your partners and drive an action plan for their growth.
• Set up new campaigns for success by leveraging best practices for creative and performance targets.
• Define and analyze metrics to ensure success for our eCommerce partners.
• Become an expert on AppLovin’s mobile advertising products for eCommerce brands.
• Partner with the broader AppLovin Business Development team in the region.

Basic Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in related fields.
• Self-starter and eager to learn.
• Demonstrate outstanding analytical ability and strategic grasp of the “big picture”.
• Exceptional communication skills and clearly able to communicate concepts and ideas

The AppLovin Business Development team develops and sustains partnerships with mobile game and application developers. A customer facing team, we become a key strategic consultant to each partner by combining strategic sales, strong negotiation skills and a deep knowledge of industry trends and data insights. The BD team transforms new opportunities into long term relationships and endurable revenues.

The AppLovin Consumer Apps team partners with subscription and consumer app businesses to drive sustainable revenue growth. We operate as strategic consultants by combining sharp commercial instincts, deep platform expertise, and data fluency to turn partnerships into lasting competitive advantages.

What you’ll be doing

• You will build, negotiate and develop high-impact relationships with app developers to build business partnerships and support company growth
• Become an expert in AppLovin solutions for businesses of all sizes and adapt recommendations quickly to suit varying client needs
• Guide partners on user acquisition strategy and campaign optimization using deep knowledge of AppLovin's platform and the mobile advertising landscape
• Develop creative strategy for partners. Stay on top of trends, identify what's working across the platform, and adapt those insights across your portfolio
• Develop client-specific growth strategies grounded in data; investigate performance issues independently and bring multiple solutions to every problem
• Build relationships with C-suite stakeholders to understand their vision and develop strategy
• Identify and pursue opportunities, prioritize accounts, handle objections and evaluate campaign effectiveness
• Coordinate with internal technical, operations, and product teams to resolve partner issues and execute on strategic initiatives

Your background and who you are

• Must have 3-5 years experience in an Account Management, Sales, Business Development role, in mobile advertising, performance marketing, gaming, or relevant industries is essential
• Exceptional client management skills, with proven success in business/client retention and business growth
• Must be data-driven and detail oriented, with strong analytical and negotiation skills. A real passion for data, analysis, and problem solving
• High level of written and oral communication skills with ability to build convincing argumentation from complex data
• High level of written and oral communication skills in English is required
• BA/BS degree or equivalent
• Highly motivated, with a relentless drive to learn and grow

Introduction

The AppLovin Business Development team fosters and maintains partnerships with mobile game and application developers. As a customer-facing team, we serve as a vital strategic consultant to each partner, leveraging a blend of strategic sales, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of industry trends and data insights. The BD team transforms new opportunities into enduring long-term relationships and sustainable revenue streams.

Please note that this role requires onsite presence at our Berlin office.

What you’ll be doing

• Cultivate, negotiate, and expand high-impact relationships with app developers to forge business partnerships and support company growth.
• Utilize data and insights to guide the strategy and implementation of AppLovin solutions aligned with client marketing objectives.
• Become an expert in AppLovin solutions for businesses of all sizes and adapt recommendations quickly to suit varying client needs
• Rapidly build influence with C-level stakeholders to understand their vision, strategy, and game pipeline potential
• Collaborate directly with app developers to improve their advertising campaign performance as well as monetization stacks, troubleshoot and resolve account issues in a timely manner
• Identify and pursue opportunities, prioritize accounts, handle objections and evaluate campaign effectiveness
• Serve as a liaison with our internal technical and operations teams for any publisher-focused technical queries, providing comprehensive customer support.
• Leverage competitive analysis and maintain a thorough understanding of the mobile advertising landscape.

Your background and who you are

• 1-3 years of experience in an Account Management, Sales, or Business Development role within a SaaS, AdTech, investment banking, or consulting company.
• Exceptional client management skills, with proven success in business/client retention and business growth
• Must be data-driven and detail oriented, with strong analytical and negotiation skills. A genuine passion for data, analysis, and problem-solving is crucial.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Can do mentality with a willingness to learn and take initiative
• Fluent in English, with ability to build convincing argumentation from complex data
• BA/BS degree or equivalent

• Proven experience in the mobile advertising and or performance marketing
• You love complex puzzles / riddles and are a problem solver at heart
• You enjoy digging (through data or otherwise) to find answers to complex questions that may not always have a clear answer

The AppLovin Consumer Apps team partners with subscription and consumer app businesses to drive sustainable revenue growth. We operate as strategic consultants by combining sharp commercial instincts, deep platform expertise, and data fluency to turn partnerships into lasting competitive advantages.

What you’ll be doing

• You will build, negotiate and develop high-impact relationships with app developers to build business partnerships and support company growth
• Become an expert in AppLovin solutions for businesses of all sizes and adapt recommendations quickly to suit varying client needs
• Guide partners on user acquisition strategy and campaign optimization using deep knowledge of AppLovin's platform and the mobile advertising landscape
• Develop creative strategy for partners. Stay on top of trends, identify what's working across the platform, and adapt those insights across your portfolio
• Develop client-specific growth strategies grounded in data; investigate performance issues independently and bring multiple solutions to every problem
• Build relationships with C-suite stakeholders to understand their vision and develop strategy
• Identify and pursue opportunities, prioritize accounts, handle objections and evaluate campaign effectiveness
• Coordinate with internal technical, operations, and product teams to resolve partner issues and execute on strategic initiatives

Your background and who you are

The Role
AppLovin is looking for a driven Tax Manager with strong communication skills to support our growing, global tax function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys partnering across teams, and is excited to modernize and scale tax processes through technology. You’ll play a visible, hands-on role in income tax accounting, consolidated income tax compliance, and advancing the use of technology to improve efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate brings strong public company experience, deep ASC 740 knowledge, and a mindset focused on automation and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare quarterly and annual global tax provision, including effective tax rate and tax reserve analysis, and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740, US GAAP or other guidance
• Analyze and clearly communicate permanent and temporary differences, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate drivers
• Prepare and support tax-related financial statement disclosures and footnotes
• Partner proactively with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and legal teams, to gather necessary financial data and ensure accurate tax reporting
• Manage and/or review U.S. federal and state consolidated income tax returns
• Coordinate with external advisors on return preparation, audits, and tax
  notices
• Oversee extensions, estimated tax payments, and compliance deliverables
• Continuously improve income tax processes, documentation, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as the business grows
• Use tax technology and data tools to automate and streamline provision and compliance processes
• Improve workflows related to data collection, calculations, reconciliations, and documentation
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to scale systems and processes
• Assist with audits, special projects, and ad hoc tax analysis

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, MST, or JD strongly preferred
• 6+ years of progressive corporate tax experience (public accounting and/or in-house)
• Technical knowledge of U.S. income tax matters, ASC 740 - Income Taxes, U.S. federal and state tax compliance, and relevant industry experience
• Proven experience leveraging tax technology and automation to improve processes
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong proficiency in Excel and G suite
• Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP systems
• Familiarity with tax provision and compliance software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, Alteryx, or similar tools) (a plus)
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology, or multinational environment
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.
